Watkins repeated with a second straight first-place showing at the
Tom Nix Memorial Baffin Bay Bash. The fish Webb is holding weighed 8
pounds. Watkin's fish was 6 pounds, 9 ounces.
Tom Nix's legacy shined at
Marker 37 this past weekend. As a result, young anglers who crowded
the marina dock to watch the final weigh-in of the Baffin Bay Bash
witnessed what may become early memories of a cultural mainstay
among coastal anglers, not just at tournaments.
After hosting a successful
tournament in Port O'Connor recently, Ron and Julie Behnke fulfilled
a promise by hosting the Tom Nix Memorial Baffin Bay Bash live
weigh-in trout contest, which attracted 57 two-angler teams |
